Rd7 and black RESIGN.
1. Rd7
1. … Qxd7
2. Qf8#
1. … queen chased away
2. Qxh7#
i would make a strong appeal fo Rd7. if Qxd7, then 2. Qf8#, so queen is lost and mate in 2-3 moves. greets, jan
1Rd7 wins
1Rd7 wins
Obviously:
1. Rd7! Qxd7
2. Qf8#
Trying to save queen would be answered with Qg7#, no way to cover this field.
There were only delays like
1. … Re2+
2. Kh3 Rh2+
3. Kxh2 Qf6/Qf7
4. queen taken mate next.
Mate in 5.
1. Re7!! 1-0.
Oh! Poor Queen!!
1. Rd7
White has two threats Qf8# and Qh7#. Black cannot prevent both at the same time.
Hi Susan Polgar,

Looks pretty easy,
1.Rd7 (deflects the queen from protecting f8).
1…Qxd7
2.Qf8#
If the black Q leaves the 7th rank, it’s mate on h7.
Rd7 should nail it.
Venky, it is required. Post your damn moves or leave this room immediately.
1. Rd7 should do it. Black can’t protect both f8 and h7.
Hi Susan Polgar,
Well, others had already posted the best possible move for this puzzle – nothing to add further.
