On 16 July FIDE President arrived on a working official visit in Jermuk, Armenia. The 5th stage of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix is taking place there on 16 – 29 July 2012. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov attended the opening ceremony and delivered a welcome speech. Mr. Serzh Sargsian, the President of Armenia and President of Armenian chess federation was also present at the event.
