Silver Lake open chess tournament was held on 14-20th June at the Silver Lake resort (Srebrno Jezero) in Serbia.

The Open A group was reserved for the players rated above 2200 FIDE, although some exceptions have been made to include the lower rated participants. 27 players competed over nine rounds of Swiss system.

Grandmasters Miroslav Tosic, Borko Lajthajm, Miroslav Markovic, and International Masters Branimir Certic, Radovan Govedarica shared the first place with 6,0 points each. Miroslav Tosic lifted the winner’s trophy thanks to the best tie-break criteria. Full standings below.

Open B was reserved for the players rated 1900-2200 FIDE. 39 players took part and the winner is Slavisa Mickovic (also IA) with 7,5/9 points.

Open C accepted the players rated under 1900 FIDE. The field of 41 participants competed over 10 rounds with faster time control 45′+15”. Vladimir Habajec and Milica Milosevic shared the first place with 9,0 points each, leaving the nearest followers full point behind.
