Congratulations to Hou Yifan!
Congrats!! 😀
Susan & Judit were pretty good at 16. Maybe could have been World Champion as a teenager also.
Zsuzsa Polgar was ranked #1 when she was 15 years old. But she chose not to compete in the women’s cycle.
Congratulations to Hou Yifan! While some say the present system is flawed and I agree, Ruan certainly made this an exciting tourney. Congratulations to her. Now she can pursue her P.H.D. I believe it would have been extremely difficult to have been an active world champion if she had won.
