Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Will he be the youngest Hungarian GM ever?
What makes Beliavsky, who is nowhere near the world top 50, a “super” GM? Can anyone here name a tennis player or golfer outside the top 50, and would you describe him as a “super” player? Can we please stop inflating the reputations of chess players?
Will Rapport still be playing at a 2600 performance-level in 60 years??? =)
Amazing that Portisch is still doing so well at 73!
Rapport won in round eight (2700+ Performance!!!) and thus he completed his third GM norm. He is the youngest Hungarian GM ever (13 years 11 months 5 days) and fifth youngest in the world. He beat the record of Leko and Judit Polgar as well.
Congratulation!
