I have stated this several times on Canada’s ‘chesstalk’. Many people hope that chess will be like poker on TV and feel that chess is losing popularity. Nothing could be further from the truth. Just check out any of the internet servers and you will see that chess is booming in popularity… the only difference is that the location has changed.
