(There are some wrong facts in this article. Can you figure out what they are?)

Escalante City’s International Master Hamed Nouri topped the 6th Buglasan Open Chess Festival to seal his place among chess elite players in the country and bring honor to the city.

Enjoying the support of the city government led by Mayor Melecio Yap, Nouri compoed in the 17th International Fajr Chess Open Tournamnet in Iran where he earned the No. 13 ranking out of the 190 competitors.

Nouri was the lone Filipino participant in the Iran competition after IM Richard Bitoon and IM Mark Paragua failed to make due to visa problems.

The Escalante chess wizard, who idolizes master Gary Kasparov, hopes to earn his Grand Master title when he competes in the Asian Continental Chess Cup in Pampanga in May where the winner will qualify for the World Chess Cup tournament.
