Bah,
who wants the crazy anti-semite prize anyway?
Not for nothing, but Fischer himself in his prime, would not win the Fischer prize with this field. Nor Capablanca, Kasparov, or Deep Rybka. it was a joke to even offer it.
Maybe Kasparov in his prime would at least have given it a serious try? Or Morozevich, who scored close to 100% in some tournaments when he was in brilliant form … and lucky.
If you think Kasparov couldn’t win 9-0 here in his best form, you are very wrong. When he had his 2851 Fide ELO, like 2900 today, it would be possible. No doubt. Not many super GMs in this field!
And Deep Rybka? It would most likely win 9-0, of course.
Guys Fisher made 11-0 with Reshevsky, Benko, Byrne (all World Championship Candidates), Bisgaeir, Addison, Evans, Mednis et al., and what about his 19 straigt wins on the World Championship level in 1970-71 (Interzonal Tournament and Candidates Matches with Taimanov, Larsen and Petrosian). So Fisher could make it in this field also with proper training. No one in the chess world could match Fisher, after Kasparov passed his prime. This tournament is not strong, how many top 100 World Players are here? Kamsky, Onischuk, Nakamura and probably Shulman and bunch of semi-retired players like Christiansen, Benjamin, Gulko, Ibragimov, two girls, bunch of juniors, local invitees.
And Fisher was 100% Jew by self, it does not cancelled his crazyness, but probably a little excuse..
Fischer would beat all this patzer in blindfold.
Who among the player here is in top 10 of fide?
all of them are super patzer and fischer could crush all there balls if you bring him back.
There is no doubt that this field is a little weak. Fischer would eat em up. The only execption is Kamsky..which I regard highly. But the rest…bah…they’re just good wood pushers…not priests of Caissa.
