CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Queen City Chess Association crowned a champion at Tuesday night’s meeting.

Josh Mu, 15, faced off against David Stamper, 21. They matched up a blitz style chess game. If you’re not familiar with that type of play, it’s basically a set of quick five minute games to determine a champion.

Mu and Stamper both tied for first during a championship round last week. In the end, Mu was crowned champion.

He gave Larry Sprinkle some tips on winning the game of chess. Click the play button above to watch the video.
