Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
By rating, we might expect 3 draws since #2 (Ivanchuk) is playing White against #1 (Topalov); #4 (Movsesian) is playing White against #3 (Aronian); and #6 (Bu) is playing White against #5 (Svidler).
For what it’s worth:
I expect Ivanchuk to bring out everything against Topalov, and predict a tough 60+ move draw. There’s a lot of subtext in this game.
I’m hoping for Bu to score again, but Svidler doesn’t want another loss, so that should be interesting, too. I’ll predict a decision here in Svidler’s favor.
Movsesian vs. Aronian: I don’t have any particular feeling about this one. Maybe a shortish draw (30 moves?).
And tomorrow’s weather: Sunny, like breeze, high 25 centigrade. Somewhere.
Aronian will win. Certainly.
I have no idea why some people think that they can predict the future.
