Is Nakamura better than Kamsky?

Is Nakamura better than Kamsky?
Not historically but right now he’s very hot and Kamsky is not playing that well. Let’s see how long Nakamura can keep it up.
Karpov needs some Geritol ™.
Right now, Nakamura has a higher FIDE rating than Kamky. Gata has not been playing well and his current rating, counting all the games (including the World Open) is below 2700 FIDE. Nakamura right now has a rating of around 2723 FIDE, again, counting all the games played. He has climbed to # 17 in the World! It seems that Hikaru is getting better, as expected. He has some elite tournaments coming up, so he has a chance to eventually get into the top 10 in the World.
Keep up the good work, Hikaru!
Naka is moving up!
Way to go!
Good work Nakamura!
Interesting ending to the Nakamura game. I thought white was clearly better (better king), but I am surprised black didn’t continue at least a few more moves.
What interests me about Nakamura’s recent play is that he seems to handle transition to the endgame exceptionally well and to have good technique and perceive rather subtle opportunities for endgame advantage. Carlsen is also displaying good engame play, as witness his 2 wins at Dortmund against the Berlin.
A great game by Naka!
Keep it up!
If you look at some of the other games, van Wely won an amusing game against Fernandes today.
Nice work Nakamura. There’s a young chess master in the Philippines just forgot the name. Watch out for him.
Its now clear that Naka is next World champion.
“Right now, Nakamura has a higher FIDE rating than Kamky.”
I don’t know about Kamky, but Kamsky’s ‘FIDE rating’ is 2717 and Nakamura’s ‘FIDE rating’ is 2710, so I really don’t know what you are talking about.
You said ‘FIDE rating’ and you do know what FIDE rating is, right?

The posters are talking about the informal “live rating” which is updated after each game. The FIDE rating is republished every several months, and doesn’t reflect the most recent activity.

He explicitly stated ‘FIDE rating’, didn’t he? Thats why I really do not know what he is talking about.
