Nakamura has secured at least a tie for 1st in Barcelona after GM Dominguez was held for a draw by GM Illescas.
I am very impressed with Hikaru. Needing only a draw to secure first place after Dominguez already drew his game, Hikaru is still playing a bold, dynamic and exciting game. Incredible! He is truly a rare breed.

Well done hikaru.
Well he has clear first!!!!! He also placed the K.I.D. on hold and broke out the Nimzo-Queen-Indian complex. Outplayed his opponent in a relatively equal position where both players can go wrong. Shredder had his opponent slightly ahead but it(Shredder) hasnt read Lasker:) Go Naka!!!!
