Russian chessmaster Vladimir Kramnik has been accused of taking too many bathroom breaks in his championship match against Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria, The Associated Press reported.
Kramnik leds 3-1 going into the fifth game. Topalov’s manager stopped short of accusing Kramnik of cheating — presumably by using a computer in the bathroom — but wants a match referee to join the players on their breaks.
FIDE officials claim that in order to exclude illegal use of any devices during matches chess players have to pass through a metal detector when they enter the building.

They should not have even considered changing the playing conditions on an appeal by one camp.

Would FIFA do that?
It’s the WOMEN’S restroom?
Well, now Kramnik’s got a legitimate bone to pick…
