i think simple ex d5 wins a piece based on fork. Haridaran, g x h6 is not forced. But attacking chances for white i guess. 1. exd5 Nxd5 2.c4 and the knight on c6 is gone.
Aha! There was more than one plan to find in this puzzle! Of course, after: 1. exd5 Nxd5? there is something better than 2. c4 (the move I suggested), and that is: 2. Qg4! Bg6 (preventing Qxg7#) 3. Nxh6+ gxh6 4. Qxd7
However, if black sees the Qg4 threat, I guess he might try: 1. … Bxf5 2. Nxf5 e4 3. dxe4 Ne5 4. Bxd7 Nxf3+ 5. gxf3 Red8 6. Bc6 This didn’t help, either.
ed5 Nd5 (Qd5, Bc6)
Qg4 double troube
1. ed Q:d5 2. Q:d5 N:d5 and the Nc6 hangs.
But 1. ed N:d5 is worse, since 2. Qg4 threatens mate on g7 and N:h6+ winning the black Q.
1. Nxe7+ Rxe7 forced.
2. Bxh6! gxh6
3. Qxf6 (threatening Qxh6, Nh5, Bxc6)
3……. Re6
4. Nh5!
1-0

1. exd5 Nxd5

The Nc6 has a binding and seems doomed (several variations):
1. exd5! Nxd5
2. c4!
If Nd5 moves follows Bxc6.
Even worse was
1. … Qxd5
2. Qxd5 Nxd5
3. Bxc6
Or:
1. … Bxf5
2. Nxf5 Nxd5 (e4 dxe4 doesn’t help)
3. c4
Here helps neither e4 Qxe4 Nf6 Qxc6 nor Nd4 Nxd4.
I may not have seen all variations, but the simple 1. exd5 seems the right move. First Nxe7 was no improvement, and not the idea Nxh6+ either.
1. exd5 Nxd5
(1… Qxd5 2. Bxc6)
2. c4
wins a piece
if 2. … Nd4, 3. Bxd7 Nxf3+ 4. gxf3
