1… Qe3+
2. Bxe3 Re2+
(A) 3. Kd1 Nxe3+ 4. Kc1 Rc2#
(B) 3. Kf1 Nxe3+ 4. Kg1 Rg2#
Qe3 wins. The variations are as Yuly mentioned:
1… Qe3+
2. Bxe3 Re2+
(A) 3. Kd1 Nxe3+ 4. Kc1 Rc2#
(B) 3. Kf1 Nxe3+ 4. Kg1 Rg2#
Nice puzzle.
1… Qe3+ is obviously the opening move, but white’s only reply is not addressed in the above two posts. The only reply that doesn’t lead to an immediate lost is:
2. Kd1
I think 2… Qd3 is the proper reply for black but I’m not 100% certain.
What is blacks best reply to Kd1.
i think you’ve got it. after qd3, how to deal with ne3?
1…..Qe3+
2. Kd1 Qd3(Ne3, then Qe2 mate)
3. Re1 Rxa2(Qc2 mate, or Ba4+; Qxa4, Qxd2#; Rb3, Bxb3,Qxb3, Qxd2#; Kc1, Qc2#) Whit has no defense at all.
