Qd3+ with perpetual check is the only way to save game
How does that work out? Qd3+ Kg4 and then?
Pretty straightforward. 1…Qd3+ 2. Kg4 Qe2+ 3. Kf5 Qd3+ 4. Kg5 Qb5+ etc.
Perpetual check along b5-d3-e2. If the K goes back to the third rank, it is checkmate.

Don’t get the plan after 5. Ke4.
Maybe Nigel Short can answer this question….
The WK doesn’t reach e4. When it reaches f5, BQ checks from d3. When it goes to g5, the check is from b5.
Am I missing something?
