1. Ng6 Qe8 (fg6 2. Qe6+)
2. Ne7+
Ng6
Ng6. Gives Black one of three bad choices
1. … RxR
2. NxQ K or R xN
losing the exchange
1. … Qd8 or Qe8
2. Ne7+ QxN
3. RxR+ Kh7
losing the exchange
1. … Qd8 or Qe8
2. Ne7+ Kh7
3. RxR QxN
losing the exchange

1 Ng6!
a)fxg6 Qxe6+ Kh7 Rxc8
b)Qe8 Rxc8 Qxc8 Nxe7+
yay! another challenge! 🙂
good one!
1. Ng6
if 1… fxg6, 2. Qxe6 and the rook on c8 falls.
if 1… Qe8 (or Qd8), 2. Rxc8, Qxc8, 3. Ne7+ forks the Q.
interesting to see such a position come up in real life.
1.Ng6!

1. Ng6!
if the knight is taken, then Qe6+ and white wins material. If the knight is not taken, then Rc8 and Ne7+ are devastating.
1.Ng6…Qe8 (if fg then Qxe6+ wins)
2.Ne7+…Qe7
3.Rc8+ wins
Ng6 looks strong treating the Q and the fork on e7. If fxg6 Qxe6 picks off the rook

My try would be Ng6 attacking the black Queen on f8. If fXg6, then
Thomas says:
Qxe6+ with a double attack on the Rook at c8. If the Queen moves to e8 or d8 then Rxc8 and if the Queen recaptures at c8, then Ne7+ forking the King and Queen. If the Queen moves on the diagonal to d6 or b4, then rXc8+ just drops the Rook. If the black Knight attacks the white Queen, then Nxf8;…Nxe3; Rxc8 and black ends up a Rook down.
1. Ng6 is the key move
if 1…fxg6, then 2. Qxe6+ wins no matter what black plays next
if 2…RXR, then NxQ, gives white a decisive advantage
Ng6 wins
Ng6. If fxg then Qxe6+ and take on c8. But otherwise there’s a fork on e7
Looks like Ng6 is a winner.
If …fxg6, then Qxe6+ followed by Rxc8
If queen moves, then RxR followed by Ne7+ forking the queen if it recaptures the rook.
I guess the best reply is ..RxR followed by NxQ and RxQ leaving white with a queen and two connected passed pawns against a rook and knight. Should be an easy win.
what about N@f7 k takes then qb7#
Well thats what I saw at first glance anyhows.)
How about 1.Ng6 fxf6 2. Qxe6+ and black loses the rook. Or 1. … Qe8 (or Qd8) 2. Rxc8 Qxc8 3. Ne7 and black loses the queen.
E.S. Tampico
1. Ng6 fg6
2. Qe6+ Kh7
3. Rc8
1. Ng6 Qe8/d8/c5
2. Rc8(+) Qc8
3. Ne7+
Maybe 1 Ng6 then if…
1… fxg6 2 Qxe6+ winning at least the rook;
1… Q anywhere, 2 Rxc6 Qxc6 3Ne7+ winning the queen?
Ng6 ! wins on the spot !
