Nh6!
Nf6+
Very nice and tricky:
1. Qh7+! Kxh7 2. Rxg3 and white is piece up.
Fieling’s move looks good
I think 1 nf6 wins.
If 1..gf 2 gf, white mates or wins overwhelming material.
if 1.. kf8 2 bf5 ke7 nd5 mates.
But after a few minutes thinking I decided that Qxh7 is stupid. Porbably Nf6 is the best move.
Hi,
I think Nf6 wins.
took me a looooong time to get this one (before looking at Fielding’s answer, which I believe is correct)
Theses puzzzles make me feel like an “intellectaul dwarf” so i wont even attempt, does anyone have the time?
Bd5!
Rg3
Nh6 does look good to me.
1. Nh6 gh6 (Kf8?? 2. Qf7#)
2. gh6 and black’ queen is pinned and won.
1. Nf6! +1
Bd5! is win for white
Nf6+ leads to mate for white
Lionel Davis — these are great exercises in tactical vision, especially the hard ones. Don’t get discourages if you can’t solve them all in under 30 sec. (BTW, I’m a microscopicly small chess intellect, rated under 1500 USCF)
