Memorandum of cooperation between FIDE and Karaganda government
On 6 July FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov had a working meeting in Karaganda, Republic of Kazakhstan. He met there with Abelgazi Kusainov, Akim of Karaganda region to sign the Memorandum of cooperation between FIDE and Karaganda region where the introduction of chess to the curriculum of the region’s schools is stipulated.
Together with Mr. Kusainov FIDE President took part in the opening ceremony of the international chess tournament “Kazakhstan Open”.
