Today’s premier matchup will be Mamedyarov versus Judit Polgar. Both are 2-0. Topalov will be facing I. Sokolov in the other matchup. Both are 0-2. Can Topalov bounce back?
I don’t think Topalov will bounce back in this game. Too early for this. Even if he beats Sokolov, it will be a hard win and not exactly coming back in shape for Vesko. Two Bulgarians pitched against each other in this game although Sokolov competes under Dutch flag.
Mamedyarov against Judit will be harder for her than against Topalov. The young lad is in great form and is some tactical beast. However, I think Judit will prevail in this game too, playing positionally, and on the basis of her greater experience and chess knowledge. I am all out for Judit again, of course.
Good luck to Judit for today’s game – it should be a thriller.
Any clues as to the opening we can expect Susan?
I hope Judit either wins or draws.
I really hope that Topalov draws or loses.
If Topalov were to lose 3 in a row.. wow.

Shak will win. Or perhaps short draw. Either way.

Sokolov is a bosnian, don’t be confused by the name
