Sixteen Indians, including GMs Parimarjan Negi, Abhijeet Gupta, S. Arun Prasad and R. R. Laxman, won their games. However, the only blemish was the surprise loss of International Master M. R. Venkatesh after facing UAE’s Abdulrahman Al Yafee.
