Terrific game! A great effort by both players and probably even a success for Carlsen as he has always been struggling in his games against Wang Yue.
A more interesting game than either of Carlsen’s wins so far.
Yue is a very interesting player—very undogmatic and objective.
Wang Yue let him go. He was in a hurry to reach the dinner and watch a good movie that was on that day, so he had to play very fast.
I think Carlsen would beat Steinitz in a match 9-1.
Susan theses “Elite” guys are really startin to get BRAVE WITH BLACK what do you think that is? They seem to be smatinin up a bit!!! hmmm. hehehe.
Fascinating game! Can’t wait to see the analysis on this one.
And, Carlsen’s 36th move Rf4 would make a beautiful little “black to move” problem. Playing through the game, I wonder if Yue saw this coming.
