The Maestro Chess Open 2013 is taking place on 7th – 17th July at the 52nd District of Novosibirsk in Russia.

Besides the main open tournament, there are side events for different age categories. Both boys girls in the categories U-9, U-11, U-13 and U-15 of the region will have the chance to participate in a first rate event.

The main event is a 9 round Swiss open with a Classical FIDE time control.

Two grandmasters and five international masters are participating. Sergei Yudin and Andrei Belozerov are the first seeds, followed by FM Ivan Bocharov and IM Oleg Loskutov.

After four rounds, Yudin and Bocharov have a perfect score and are the co-leaders. Seven players are half a po¡nt behind the leaders.
