The LXI Mexican International Open Tournament is taking place from 31st March to 5th April, 2015, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel****, in the city of Monterrey, the capital and largest city of the northeastern state of Nuevo León in the country of Mexico.
The event i a 9-round Swiss with tempo of play 90′+30″.
GM Emilio Cordova (Peru) and GM Bartolomej Macieja (Poland) head the field of 157 players who are vying for the prize fund in total amount of 1,000,000 MXN. The top prize is 70,000 MXN (approximately 4,600$).
