I recommend following the London Classic games in the tournament site. GM David King is a good analyst and the webcam is fine.
Nigel Short lost yesterday on the White side of a Sicilian Dragon. In the post mortem he said that as White he had played a similar Dragon against Ray Robson the week before in St Louis (draw) and at one point he left the room to go to the bathroom thinking that Ray had the move Kg8 as one of two possible choices for Black.
On his way back to the table he glanced at the old fashioned big demonstration board on the wall, sat down, pondered a bit and decided that it was a good idea for him as well to move his King– to f2 – prompting a strong response from Ray: “it’s my move!”
The rest of the postmortem was a series of Monty Python gags on one’s turn to move. Losing didn’t seem to bother Nigel Short one bit, he remained jovial throughout the interview.
