The first 3 games between Leko and Ivanchuk were drawn. In the 2nd blitz game, Ivanchuk decided to employ the Alekhine against 1.e4 just as he did in the first game. This time, he was completely outplayed by his opponent. The final score is Leko 2.5 – Ivanchuk 1.5.

i really don’t get why ivanchuk kept on playing the alekhine…
Against Leko, you pick your poison I guess. Alekhine or something else.
Chukky choked the big one!
I expected this outcome all along. Leko is a magnificient player. Even Vlad the great who easily won the World Championship title by beating Kasparov very convincingly (Kasparov did not win a single game) was able to get even (4-4)with him in the World Championship match at Brissago. There are some people who call his playing style as “boring” and the championship match between them as a “farce”, I would recommend them to analyze the following game :

All should hail and praise these two players who are among the greatest players of all time
