Legendary chess grandmaster Mark Evgenievich Taimanov celebrated 90th birthday on 7th February.
Taimanov was Soviet champion, winner of the Olympiad and European gold medals, World Championship candidate and winner of many international tournaments.
He is also renowned as a concert pianist.
