In the final round, Kristiansen was able to secure a draw against against former champion GM Cebalo to clinch at least a tie for 1st. GM Sveshnikov, with a chance to tie for 1st with white, inexplicably took a short 20 move draw. In addition to the title, IM Kristiansen also earns a GM title.
