Stage 4 of TCEC – Season 6 is in progress. The top 4 engines in the world compete for the first 2 spots that lead into the Superfinal.
Stockfish and Komodo have been updated for this Stage. Stockfish variation 080414 was replaced by Stockfish modification 300414, while Komodo 1223 is the new version of Komodo 1217.
In the first round of Stage 4 Houdini 4 and Komodo 1223 drew, while Stockfish 300414 defeated Critter with Black pieces.
Second round included two effective games – Houdini’s victory over Critter and Komodo’s masterpiece against Stockfish. The reigning TCEC champion Komodo stroke back, as the previous encounter between the old rivals finished in favor of Stockfish.
