1. Nxe5+ Kxh7
2. Qh5+ Kg8
3. Qf7+ Kh7
4. 0-0-0
and there is no defense against 5. Rh1+
if 4. … Kh6, 5. Qg6#
if 1… fxe5
2. Qh5+ Kf6
3. Qxe5+ Kf7
4. Qxg7+ Ke6
(if 4… Ke8, 5. Qf7#)
5. Qe5#
Also, after 1. Nxe5+, if Black tries
1… Kg5 or 1… Kf5 (instead of the other lines), then white has 2. Qg4#
I don’t get this position. What was Black’s last move?
1.Nxe5+ KxR
2.Qh5+ Kg8
3.Qf7+ Kh7
4.0-0-0
1. N:e5+ K:h7 2. Qh5+ Kg8 3. Qf7+ Kh7 4. 0-0-0 and there is no defense to Rh1 and mate.

Wolferine, Qd3? e4 et les noirs gagnent.
the position doesn’t make sense, but anyway
Ne5+ Kh7 other moves give mate in 1
Qh5+ Kg8
Qf7+ Kh7
OOO black moves
Rh1
imm gonna try this again
1.Nxe5+
1. … fxe5
2. Qh5+ Kf6
3. Qxe5+ and Qxg7+
1. … Kxh7
2. Qh5+ Kg8
3. Qf7+ Kh7
4. 0-0-0 and Rh1
1. Nxe5+, …
If Kf5 or Kg5 then 2. … , Qg4++
If Kxh7 then 2. Qh5+, Kg8 (2. … , Bh6; 3. Qg6++) 3. Qf7+, Kh7; 4. o-o-o followed by Rh1++. The move 4.Kd2 will also do the job if white is not allowed to castle.
Therefore
1. … , fxe5
2. Qh5+, Kf6
3. Qxe5+, Kf7 or Kg6
4. Qxg7+
followed by Rxh8 with a rook and three pawn advantage.
Ne5+ Kxh7
Qh5+ Kg8
Qf7 Kh7
o-o-o and the rook will mate
ne5+ followed by q-h5+
q-f7+ and queenside
castles
Nxe5 Kxh7
Qh5+ Kg8
Qf7+ Kh7
Ke2
this looks much better.. byt the way dont speak to me in freanch i speak english a.sshole
I think clearing lines must be the key. There aren’t too many ways to do this, so
1. Nh4 Kh7
2. Qh5 Kg8
3. Qg4 and I am damned if I see anything in this line to compensate for the sacrificed material.
1. Rg7 Kg7
2. Kd2 e4 and, again, I don’t see enough compensation for the sacrificed material. Another possibility is
1. Qd3 e4
2. Ne4 Kh7??
3. Nf6! Kh6 (only move)
4. Ng4 Kh5 (again, only move)
5. Qf5 unless I am missing something, mate follows on the next move (doing this without a board). So, black must reply at move 2 with
2. …..de4
3. Qe4 Kf7
4. Qf5 Rh7
5. Ng5 Ke7??
6. Qe6 followed by mate on the next move, or
5. …..Ke8
6. Nh7 Qe7 and I am at a loss how to continue for white in this line- the g7 bishop is protected, the king has an escape route to the queen side, and white is still down two pieces.
I will post this and continue to look.
LOL, in the meantime, I see the other option I was going to look at has already been found, 1. Ne5.
Would have looked at this first, but I totally missed that 1. …fe5 loses instantly to Qh5. The most obvious moves are sometimes invisible to me. Oh, well.
Arthur: I assume black’s last move could have been to capture a white bishop on g6 with the king. For example, put white bishop on d3, pawn on h5, rook on h1, black king on f7, rook on f8, pawns on g6 and h7. Then:
hxg6+ hxg6
Rh7 Rh8
Bxg6+ Kxg6
and we have the starting position of the problem.
Arthur and others have said the position doesn’t make sense. Does Black have a sensible last move. Seems the last move must have been with the K from f7 capturing a B on g6. Previous move by white presumably Bxg6 to protect the h7 rook. Before that Black probably played Rh8.
Only problem is where the White bishop moved from. If from d3 Black would have played e4 instead of Rh8. If from f5, it would be en prise to the pawn on g6.
So maybe the black g-pawn had already previously been captured, and white played B from f5 to g6

The fact that living in Paris I wrote in french by mistake is not a reason to insult me. I am amazed your message was allowed in this civilized forum.
I may be whatever you say, but at least I can see a fork in one move.
are you kidding me. i glanced at the problem and never gave it much thought… thats the first mistake ive made on a problem in about fifty straight problems. you think your beyond making mistakes you arrogent french creep…everybody messes up in chess. doesnt matter who you are. but if your on an english speaking website dont write in french… ill play you anytime and probaly beat you 100 straight games..
