Khurtsidze sets the pace at Georgian Women’s Chess Championships
International Master Nino Khurtsidze leads the way after round 9 of the 68th Georgian Women’s Chess Championships, being held in Anaklia in west Georgia.
Thirteen of Georgia’s finest female chess players are taking part in the national contest which commenced on 10 January.
Khurtsidze defeated Meri Arabidze in the latest round to take her to 6 points, half a point clear of chasing duo Maia Lomineishvili and Bela Khotenashvili.
With four rounds remaining it will be Khurtsidze, Lomineishvili and Khotenashvili who battle it out for the prestigious title.
Current leader Khurtsidze is scheduled to face Lomineishvili in the 13th and final round on 23 January, which could prove to be the decisive encounter and an appetizing finale to the tournament.

Who is this hot babe?
My wife’s age (she is near here that turns) therefore I cannot say anything of IM Khurtsidze…
Susan, sweet greetings.
