What’s your prediction?
Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Onischuk beats Kamsky. Hess beats Shulman. Brooks draws Nakamura. Akobian beats Benjamin.
I am enjoying this U.S. Championship, immensely. In my opinion, this probably might be a turning point in U.S chess.
A very strong event. Also, each of the players is a character . What I mean is that especially through this blog, I feel I know the players and they are more than names. For example, Onischuk who has such a charming wife, supported Obama and coached Robson. About Kamsky its obvious. Shulman is the nice guy who moans the grass. Akobian is also a known Character, and so on.
All in all: terrific event!
The Zatonkish event clouded the championship but not destroyed it.
I see alot of Susan’s impact in the success of the event. Bravo Susan!
Best wishes from Kfar-Saba , Israel
A Weiler
Susan, you should correct Kamsky’s ELO–2798???
Its american rating! They are doing everything bigger than others 😉
okay
It’s US rating.
“Susan, you should correct Kamsky’s ELO–2798???”
This are USCF ratings or do you really think FIDE’s rating of Nakamura is 2750, Onischuk 2730, etc???
“Its american rating! They are doing everything bigger than others ;-)”
Of course we are bigger!!! 😉
The impossible has happened!
Lawton is on the board with a draw versus Shankland. I was really rooting for him to maintain his blistering pace of 0-9.
Have they finished yet? What time have they started?
Yes, we have an inflated view of many things.
@John Holmes
Besides Russia, Armenia, Aserbeidschan, Ukraine, China, Hungary the US chess is currently the absolute best in the world. right.
Why not give Kamsky a rating about 2820. By the way: How did he play against Topalov in the match. I think he won with a high score, didn’t he?
O, it is so nice dicussing with people who are looking forward and above…
🙂
