The 2014 Kehat Beukes Memorial Chess Tournament is scheduled to take place on 27-28th December 2014 at the Protea Hotel Thuringerhof, in Windhoek, the capital and largest city of the Republic of Namibia.

Windhoek has been the main chess center in Africa, hosting numerous chess events: 2014 African Individual Chess Championships for men and women, ACC Publicity Commission meeting, FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

The event is a 9-round Swiss FIDE tournament, open to everyone, with tempo of play 25′ + 5″ and prize fund in the amount of 10.000 NAD, kindly provided by Bank Windhoek.

The prizes will be granted as follows:
Main prizes: 2.500 NAD/ 2.000 NAD/ 1.500 NAD/ 500 NAD.
Best female player: 650 NAD
Best junior (under 20): 800 NAD
Best boy: 650 NAD
