Kazakhstan is a new place at the world chess map. President of the World Chess Federation (FIDE) Kirsan Ilymzhinov has made it public at an opening of the IV World Blitz Chess Championship in Almaty, Kazinform reports.

The Kazakh Chess Federation actively participates in the FIDE activity. The Kazakh chess players take part in the most prestigious tournaments.

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov expressed a hope that Kazakhstan will put name down for holding the World Chess Olympiad and the Classical World Chess Championship.
