To polish up the skills of players who might be a bit rusty, two CPU opponents can be set to play against each other, giving gamers a valuable lesson in play and strategy for future matches. Should they feel up to the challenge, aspiring chess grandmasters can battle against the realistic computer opponents in an ultimate battle of wits and forethought.

That’s cool. How do I get it?
I need one for an upcoming tournament. haha.
Goichberg made promises once a chess playing cell phone came out. I hope he lives up to the promises.
This is just too much. It will make cheating really easy.
Goichberg keeping his promise? Fat chance. Goichberg will do what’s best for Goichberg and not chess or the USCF. Wake up and smell the coffee. Why do you think so many people including Dubeck hate him? He has a history of using confidential info to destroy his competitors.
These electronic pocket devices are spelling the end of slow time control in big open swisses. Fast time control will be necessary to eliminate frequent bathroom breaks. Games will have to be completed in one sitting.
A good solution to the problem of chess playing cell phones is for large tournaments to set up a “cell phone check” system, something like a coat check, where players drop off their phone before entering the playing hall. It can even be arranged so that calls and messages can be relayed to players in the event of emergencies.
Whatever the case, it looks as if cell phones, even disconnected ones, must be kept from playing halls in the future.

That is why I have to get one immediately and start using it before they get outlawed.
Imagine all the free advertising this phone could have if 200 had shown up at the recent world open last week.
Suddenly the game quality is going to skyrocket in the under 1200 sections.
Karpov put his name on this phone. Kind of interesting.
Susan you have to bring us an update on any problems at the recent world open. did everything go smoothly or were their problems again this year?
Will Danailov trade in his cell phone for this new Karpov model.
there are going to be some interesting stories coming out soon.
Now if someone could just invent a new cell phone that can get this stupid word verification the first time instead of having to enter them a bunch of times.
missed again on the first shot. It usually works on the 2nd try.
I sure hope this isn’t the same Karpov chess modeule that I have on my Virgin phone. If it is, then I’m all for letting (forcing?!) my opponents to use it. I would say it would be rated less than 1200 or so.
Meh…give me Fritz on a cell phone
