Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Gata is on track to be world champion.
he was on track until he hit a brick wall called topalov…
he was on track until he hit a brick wall called topalov…You’re cruel.
Topalov himself praised Gata’s play in the match and practically all chess grandmasters who have commented on the games said match was a lot closer than score would indicate and Gata’s play in tournaments against the world’s best confirms this. He still has a chance to become world champion and he better hurry up before Magnus dominates them all!
topalov was a gentleman for praising gata’s play but gata was in time trouble most the match… he has an uphill battle if he wants to be world champion, especially with players like carlsen, karjakin and caruana chomping at the bit…
