Go Gata! I hope he can win this.
I feel bad for Nigel. What has happened to him?
Gata Kamsky rules!
Crybaby Short is LAST PLACE!
Kamsky is showing he’s WCC material! He’s certainly young enough to play for the WCC in a few years. Way to go Gata!!
Mr. Short is simply outclassed in this tournament. His chess skill are simply not on par with Kamsky and Ivanchuk….I wonder…how on Earth he managed a draw?
Oh well, as the old saying goes, “The truth is often stranger than fiction.”
I just wonder what excuse Short has for losing and being in last place? Since he’s quite good at blaming the world for his woes…I guess he can say everyone is “cheating” and conspiring against him.
What a clown!
Nigel Short has dental problems, the unkind words of the above Anonymous poster justify his anonymity.
a draw between gata and nigel, given thier past history, was the best result.
Mr. Short has dental problems???? I’m sorry to hear of this and hope he recovers soon.
So, “bad teeth” shall be his excuse for his miserable performance, you say? That’s a new one!
I actually believe his performance is due merely to the fact that his opponents are better chess players than him.
Why should the chess community be nice to him when he acts like a child and embarrasses our sport by making silly comments to the press about GM Kamsky (see the article on this blog from a few days ago).
Nigel is an intelligent and good chess player. His public remarks recently are chilidish and show the mind of a simpleton at work….a youngster in an adults body throwing a temper tantrum because he was beaten by Kamsky in 1994.
He really needs to stop saying things that embarass our sport. The guy is, as “Mayanking” stated earlier, a crybaby.
Maybe he should bring his pacifiar with him to the next match.
