The only lines my puny mind can find are drawn…
I think it is draw, f3-g4, f4-g3!
The big problem for Black is that he has no space to operate.
1.f3!
Either he moves back with the King
1…. Kh5
2.Kg3 etc
or he advances the pawn
1…. g4
2.f4! and the problem remains the same
2…. g5
3.f5!
He will loose both pawns.
White whould win, starting with 1.f3! Basically there are two lines:
a) 1.-Kh5 2.Kg3 Kh6 3.Kg4 winning a pawn
b) 1.-g4 2.f4 g5 (2.-Kh5 3.Kg3) 3.f5 – again black has to give up pawns to keep white’s passer under control.
In line b), black’s trickiest option seems to be 2.-g3!? It seems that 2.hg3:+? Kg4 (followed by 3.-g5) is only good for a draw, so white has to play 2.h3! (zugzwang) and then take the g-pawn with his king.
I usually get these wrong, but is it:
1.f3 g4 2.f4 g3 3.h3 white wins
f3 intending f4 probably wins
1.f3 g4(1..Kh5?2.Kg3) 2.f4 g5 3.f5 Kh5 4.Kg3 kh6 5.Kg4 1-0
1. f3 wins in all variations, i.e. 1…., g4; 2. f4 !, g5; 3. f5!, Kh5
4. Kg3 etc
1…., Kh5; 2. Kg3 ! etc

1. f3
If 1. …Kh5 then 2.Kh3 and then either 2…. Kh6 3. Kh4 and wins g5 or 2… g4 3.fxg4 winning in both cases.
IF 1. …g4 then 2.f4 and then either 2…. g5 3. f5 Rh5 4. Kg3 and wins or 2…. Rh5 3.Kg3 and wins.
Looks a draw.
1. f3 g4
2. f4 g3
now:
3. hg Kg4
4. Kf2 g5 draws:
or:
3. h3 Kh5
4. Kxg3
and the disconnected white pawns don’t win
Can’t see any improvements for white
The white do only draw if black play good
1 f3 g4
2 f4 g3
3 h3 h5
4 Kxg3 Kh5
The white king can’t help promove the pawn
Please If I do error say me where
Wes Emmett has it right!
Wes Emmett is not right, because:
after 2…, f3, white plays:
3. Kxg3 ! now black is forced to play either
3…., Kh6
4. Kg4 and white wins, or
3…., g5
4. f5! and white wins
Anon 9:13 is incorrect
After 2. … g3
3. Kxg3 is illegal since the black king is still on h4.
I don’t see an improvement to Wes Emmett’s line, so I think it is a draw as he states.
Position is drawn, I have seen it in the famous Dvoretsky endgame manual (with flanks reversed).
Yep, 2…g3 kills white’s dreams of winning this.
