What happened to the 50 move rule? They played 78 moves in the last game without any pawn moves or piece captures.
Way to go, Judit!
That big, garishly pink horse with the vacant eyes and bared teeth scares me, though.
Congratulations!
WCh match 2011: Judit – Topalov!
No scoresheet to prove 50 move rule. Just one of those things in blitz chess.
Judit was afraid of claiming the draw at 110., because she didn’t know wheather the 50 move rules stood or not. She didn’t have too much time, and she didn’t want to leave the table.
What a rubbish!
Of course she knew that 50 move applies (otherwise they wouldn’t play by FIDE rules, would they?) she just wasn’t sure when 50 moves were played. As I explained already – she waited until she was absolutely sure that more than 50 moves were played.
Bliming, why do people who know so little about chess keep commenting thigs.
THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING STRANGE THAT HAPPENED HERE!
Get it nothing that doesn’t happen regulary at blitz tournaments. Of course I’m talking about over-the-board blitz and not stupid internet blitz when you don’t have to claim anything!
yay!
Good She’s had a rough time lately. Glad to see something good happen for her.
M Magnan
Her husband told me this information, so it was not rubbish at all…
And I know more of chess than you thought.
Well IF what you write is true, then Judit should be really ashamed of herself for not knowing the rules.
Bliming, how could the 50 move rule not apply in FIDE events?!
Chill, Anon 12:48 / 2:10, chill.
I’m afraid I’ll have nightmares of that big, garish, bright pink, vacant-eyed horse with flared nostrils and bared teeth.
How has Judit been coping since posing with that beast?
Who is Bliming? Any relation to Blimey?
Good to see Judit advance.
Hope Judith wins this! H’ever is she not already selected for the candidates tournament? As the world’s top lady player, she needs to get an automatic entry anyway!
