It’s good to keep pace with Aronian, says Carlsen

As we reported earlier today, Magnus Carlsen beat Boris Gelfand in FIDE World Chess Candidates Tournament round 3. He is currently second with 2 points and is 0.5 points behind Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian.

“I’m very happy to win and now that Levon won his second game… it’s still early in the tournament but it’s good to keep pace,” Carlsen told a news conference after the game.
