This is also from Chess Today. This game took place in the recent Turkish Championship. White is going for the win being a pawn up. After 42.Qa4, White is doing good. But White played 42.Qb4?? and lost after Black played 42…Rc4.

I didn’t see right away what difference it makes. After 42.Qa4, can’t Black win with 42…Rc4 just the same? No, because White’s queen can run away and still keep an eye on g4 with 43.Qd1.
Yeah I agree with annonymous. To me too it look that Qa4 is look pretty convincing for white!
What a bad chess grandmaster that was, for a moment, anyway. Thanks for pointing out this.
