It will take place in Tehran, at the Enghelab Sport Complex, on Thursday 13 August 2009, under the supervision of the Iranian Chess Federation and FIDE. Iranian TV will cover the event. 200 professional chess players, 280 chess enthusiasts, and 20 cinema actors and sportsmen will present in at the sport complex at 9 a.m. to try to win their games agains

200 professional chess players??! There might not be 200 true professionals in the entire world. This guy is going to play a 500 player simul and 200 of them are going to be strong grandmasters? I don’t think so. Who wrote this?
I never understood what this is all about anyway. It’s just about the number of people you are playing, not about the score you will achieve or your average opponents’ playing strength. What kind of weird record is that?!
