After the announcement of Peru’s exclusion from all international competitions due to a debt with the International Federation, Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) assured they will take charge of the situation.

The main organism rector of Peruvian sports said they received a letter from the Peruvian Federation of Chess last Sunday, where the latter asks for help to pay some 2,800 euros to FIDE (International Federation of Chess).

IPD said they are working on the theme and will be paying the announced amount in a short period of time, sending the money directly to FIDE.

FIDE had excluded Peru from all international competitions and consequently all national events related are no longer valid to sum up points or for qualifying to another events.
