I was on CBC radio in Ottawa this morning at 7:30 AM. I was told that this is the largest radio station in Canada.
The full interview can be heard on http://www.cbc.ca/ottawa after 10 AM.

Can we please ask them to name this radio channel: Susan Polgar Chess Channel (Hee hee .._?
Too bad the CBC uses real audio format …
we often refer to the CBC as “the people’s radio” since it is the Canadian equivalent of the BBC in Britain.
i live in this country and its a piece of garbage. our wages have decreased in the last fifteen years while inflation, gas and cost of living shoot through the roof. we have disgusting health care system that is under funded with not enough doctors, nurses hospital beds. not to mention sickening wait times. our crime is terrible with more car jacking or break and enters than the united states. i knew someone that had there front door kicked in by a thief. he took some things escaped. the police caught him and they let him out the next day. the guy didnt even spend one day in jail. thats how canada treats criminals. they can get away with anything here. we also have an outrageous drug problem. i wonder why the vancouver officials that were trying to win the bid to host the olympic games didnt take the olympic commitee to pigeon park or downtown east side. they would see a side of canada that the rest of the world doesnt hear about. needles stiking out of people arms and heroin addicts shooting up in plain view of the police. stabbings and prostitutes walking in the middle of the day and nothing is done about it.
i’m tired of hearing canada is a good country because its not. its turning into a third world sewer. the coporations have all the power and the government serves the companies like telus and not the people. it doesnt suprise me when i hear 4 million out of 30 million canadians dont have food to eat everyday and half of these are children.
we have more con artists per captia where im located than anywhere in the world. my parents were conned out of three hundred thousand dollars from a real estate thief. the bottom line is canada pretends to be a socialistic country that is for the people when its really a corporation that cares for nothing but getting the big companies rich. at least the united states admits its capatilistic and doesnt hide behind the facade of being socialistic. canada is every bit and more a corportion that serves its own interests and not the peoples.
This is the first time I’ve heard Susan’s voice. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was nonetheless surprized by her vocal modesty. It’s nice to meld that liquid Hungarian accent with the face.
The converse is usually true for radio personalities whose face I’ve not yet seen. I am frequently suprized by their appearance, even though I had no idea what to expect.
