e6?
I think 1.Ke6 should draw. This is the line I calculated but I’m not entirely certain is correct.
1.Ke6 d5
2.Kd5 Be7
3.Ke6 Bf8
4.Kf7 Bh6
5.Kg6 Bf4
6.Kf5 Bg3
7.Ke4
Now…
a) 7….Ke2(or any other move)
8.Kd5 Bf2
9.e6 draws
b)7…….Bf2
8.Kd5 draws
c) 7…..Bh3
8.Kd5 Be7
9.Ke6 and the main line repeats itself.
—Henryk
A couple of typos, easily fixed:
1.Ke6 c5
c) 7…Bh4
Nice analysis, henryk.
I found the same repeating line like Hendrik.
(If we are correct) Very very interesting maneuver with bishop vs. king. Bf8-e7-h6-f4-g3-e7, bishop trying to escape the king but not possible…
Cute!
1.e6?
…loses. Curiously, Black has no reply which merely draws; every legal move either wins or loses!
