Mr Paul Morphy sir, what would be the very first thing you would look for from your opponent, that would send a signal to you, as to how to initiate your strategic grand attack, and also, knowing your use of tempo, how would you define their value to you in your overall measurement of success on the board?
Vasily Smyslov:
Botvinnik said that you have a “very powerful algorithm” for finding the best move. What is it?
Bill Brock
Chicago
to Kasparov:
Did you really not feel your fingers let go of the piece?
fischer, was the reason you quit chess that you were afraid to lose to karpov,or to anyone?
Kasparov
I dont remember what game it was now but I remember you castling on the black side of a game when it was illegal to do so but your position demanded it in order to survive…….did you really castle not knowing it was legal or did you castle knowing it was illegal and expect your opponent to catch it……which i dont think he did if i recall?
Bobby Fischer
What would it take to get you to forgive the incriminating US government and come back to the USA where you are a national hero….and a legacy? I will die feeling sad that I never met you in person.
Nakamura
When are you gonna play again….are you pulling a Bobby Fischer demonstration of staying away from tournament to come back 3-4 years later stronger than ever? LOL
Capablanca, how did you develop your middle and endgame techniques to attain your seemingly magical style?
Susan Polgar
Where on earth do you get your motivation and creative ideas? 🙂 SUSAN for USCF President plzzzz.
I would ask Mikhail Tal if he would play a game against me.
Now if I couldn’t ask for a game, I really don’t have a question I’d want to ask.
Dear Bobby Fischer,
Whatever happened, would you straighten up, fly right, and resume your desitny in chess? How about the American Korchnoi? Outspoken, but a real player! We miss you.
Oops, “destiny” typo. By the way…great question by anonymous regarding Paul Morphy and how he saw the game.
To Kramnik
“Draw ?? “
not that I wouldn’t like Fischer to come to america and play again but… isn’t he wanted by the US government? Coming back isn’t an option, unless he wants to go to jail.
To Bobby Fischer:
Why did you stop taking your medications?
To GM Roberto Bisguier:
“Why on earth did you wake Fischer??”

Where on earth do you get your silly and ridiculous ideas 🙂 SUSAN for topalov’s manager plzzz.
Dear Lincoln,
Yes. Fischer is wanted and, in my opinion, rightly so. I always stick to talking about his chess because, within this realm, he is a true genius.
However, go beyond the chessboard and he is a racist and says the most insane ridiculous things about not only various countries but an entire race of human beings.
I respect his chess ability immensely. I believe he has a right to say what he wants as most people realize that he’s quite weird and does believe his paranoid delusions of a conspiracy lurking around ever corner.
I just think the insenstive and racist remarks against so many groups of people is hard to forgive nonetheless forget.
Some claim that he is an “American hero.” Insofar as chess ability goes, he is. Beyond that, he is a spiteful, unbalanced individual. His hatred toward other peoples cannot be defended.
If I could gain a chance to speak with him and have his mental capacity 100%, then I’d have to ask him: Why, with so many fans around the world, are you so full of hatred toward other races? Beyond the chess board, he is an embarassment to our sport (NOTE: I said BEYOND the chess board…I shan’t question his chess genius for his is amongst the greatest no doubt about it.
So, yes he’s wanted by the U.S. government for various offenses. He would have had to face justice like the rest of us if he had not been, well, Bobby Fischer.
I guess some are above the law.
Respectfully,
Tim Harris
Dear JimmD:
regarding Fischer, you state: “What would it take to get you to forgive the incriminating US government and come back to the USA where you are a national hero….and a legacy?”
The U.S. is not to blame. He is. He has free will as do the rest of us. Moreove, beyond the 64 squares of our sport, he is NOT a “national hero.”
GM Susan is a true American hero! She is literally changing the future of our children for the better due to her dedication to chess.
If Fischer was normal and not so full of hatred, and used his immense chess genius to benefit humanity, just think of what money he could bring in to help our sport.
Despite his cruel and often racist statements, he could still do much good. Truth is, he doesn’t seem to care.
This hatred, this non-humane attitude, will, unfortunately, also be a part of his legacy.
It is truly sad.
But, he is by no means a “hero” to every american. GM Susan is much more of a hero than he.
Tim Harris
Me: Dear Garry, tell me the truth about ”no sponsors” bulls… for your match against Shirov.
He (probably): You can’t handle the truth!
David Janowski,
Are you a dandy?
Bobby- WHY???
id like to add my name to the list of people wanting to ask fischer “why?”, but since that has been mentioned already, id ask my fellow countryman capablanca for advice on middle and end game
Alexandra Kosteniuk:
Will you marry me ?
To Botvinnik: You really were scared of Keres, weren’t you?
This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
To GM Nigel Short.
Knowing what you know now, if you could turn the clock back, would you still break from FIDE?
G Lehany
Scotland
Mr. Morphy,
I have it on good account that Steinitz did actually meet with you privately using a pseudonym to set up an appointment to discuss “International Law.” After he tried so hard to get a game with you, and once you realized he finally came to you with no witnesses around, did the two of you actually finally play?
Mr. Fischer, when did you realized that Karpov was too strong, so you decided to bail out?
Fischer of 1973. What will it take to get you to keep your word that you will be the all around champion who defends his title, is in all of the major tournaments etc, and what is your reason for not doing so when you are over 100 pt elo above all the others? Is it the lack of a challenge?
Krapnik: how many times is normal to go to an *unsupervised* room during a game? 2 or 3 times in a 7 hour game, 50? Once per move?
GM Susan Polgar,
If you could relive the past 20 years with the knowledge that you have now, what would you do differently in regards to professional chess? What would you change?
To Kasparov: “When are you coming back?”
Question goes to you.
I have alot of chess software CBM’s, Roman DVD’s, Fritz, shredder, Rybka etc. What is the best way to study with all this software. I also play with a 5 sec increment on ICC as Dan Heisman has suggested. Help- My rating does not reflect my playing strength.
To all the ex world champions:
So how’s the chess?
How can I help you promote chess in the Lewisburg, West Virginia area.
This place is very rural and we have a small club with some very bright children.
How do we get my main man Maurice Ashley back on the board and in the top 20 ? I am looking for you kid.
You are the man ! Holla
Topalov,
Do you really believe that Kramnik cheated in the last WCC match? Or did Danailov just persuade you to use this dirty tactic in order for you to win the match?
this is not particularly serious, but perhaps asking Bronstein if he really was forced to throw the Botvinnik match?

“World Champion Alekhine, I know that you had your differences with Capablanca, but I am sure that the artist and fearless competitor in you recognizes what a gift to chess a return match would have been to the world? It is 1942, time passes us quickly, and I noted that you lamented the passing of Capablanca as an uncommon chess talent. If the match would under the fair circumstances that you always asked for, how do you think it would have wnet and what would have happened?”
Mr. Fischer, would you like a draw?

Sorry gang, but I have been trying to get apost for hours and I couldn’t risk another step for a preview. “If the match had been played….
Hello Bobby, how are you ??
(oooooooops)
My question to former World Champion Borris Spasky is..
Can you ever forgive your Russian Chess Controllers of how they miss treated you when you were the World Chess Camp
You said years latter “It was the most unhappiest time of your life”.
What should modern day Russian Chess Controllers do now to stop the mass exodus of unhappy Russian Chess Players even V Kramnik looks anything but happy…can you see him also defecting in the near future
This is easy, because it is a question I often ponder.
To Susan Polgar: What can we, the everyday lovers of chess, do to improve the dismal state of ‘organized’ chess?
I would never ask a GM something. Never felt the necessarity. They can only give 64-squared-answers. Would you like to talk with Dr. Hübner about wives? Give me a break.
Garry,
Why did you give up the title you fought so long and hard for, both on and off the board to Kramnik so easily?
Almira Skripchenko:
Why are you so beautiful and nice?
Ater 52 postings…most of us want to ask Fisher a lot of questions…
How about it BOBBY FISHER
if you need money we will pay truck loads to hear from you..email Susan

Robert Fischer:
When are people going to accept the fact that you were telling the truth in the seventees? [When you held fast to your claim that you wished to dictate the terms of the first challenge to your championship title, and further, that you REALLY needed to spend time doing other things in your life than chess.]

If youre Bobby Fisher we would get a bargain
Do not be mad at Bobby Fischer for some of the things he has said. You have to realize that everything he said seemed like a good idea to him at the time… Yes Bobby is stubborn, but on behalf of the jewish people, I forgive Bobby for some comments which I know, in his heart, he regrets making. I know that deep down Bobby is a good person and a lot of the things he said were said out of fear and misunderstanding, not hatred. We love you Bobby and forgive you. Will you wipe the slate clean, renounce racism, and join the chess community?
