No names for Vice-Champions and bronze medal winners?? Come on, what’s this??
Two medals is not so bad. Used to be that the US never won any medals, and like Britain, Germany, France always competed in the lower two-thirds of the field while the Soviet Bloc won everything.
So now india has a world champion, a women’s world no.2, world junior champion, world junior champion (female) and several world youth champions…
well… an olympiad medal would be the icing on the cake
Well Done Ivan and Valentina!
Maybe there’s still hope for Croatian chess.
Congrats to all winners. I am personally very pleasantly surprised about our Croatian kids. I know Ivan Saric personally, and he is a great kid from great family.
‘Well Done Ivan and Valentina!
Maybe there’s still hope for Croatian chess.’
Sure there is. Just improt more players into Croatia and there you go! That’s your only hope, considering Croatian chess is no better than Slovenian.
