IM Boris Savchenko of Moskow has captured the 5th Dos Hermanas Qualifier. There were 494 players taking part in this qualifier.
The event went very smoothly. There were no major disputes as he qualifies every year. He is a very solid Blitz player probably one of the best in the word at Blitz.
Both GM Roman Dzindzichashvili and Gata Kamsky played but could not beat back the hordes. It shows what a competitive tourney this is in that those two finished way down the standings.
