The 4th edition of Dhamso International Chess Festivaltook place from 29th April to 5th May, 2014 at Thomas De Silva Memorial Auditorium, Dharmasoka College, in Ambalandoga, Sri Lanka.

The 9-round Swiss Open was organizes by The Old Boys’ Chess Association of Dharmasoka College, Ambalandoga, in collaboration with Sri Lanka Chess Federation and FIDE. The total prize fund was 400 000 RS (nearly 2200€). More information here.

IM Kartikeyan, P. (India) was convincing with 8.5/9 points.

Krishna C.R.G. (India) took clear first place with 8/9 points.

Third place was shared in a 6-way tie by Alahakoon, Isuru (Sri Lanka), CM Galappaththi, Anurud Chinthaka (Sri Lanka), Dissanayake, R. S. (Sri Lanka), Priyankara Chamil (Sri Lanka), De Silva, Mathanga Elath (Sri Lanka) and Lamahewa, C. (Sri Lanka) with 7.5/9 points each.
