The 1st Iloilo Club 64 Rapid Chess Tournament sponsored by ROBB ROY PARTISALA was a huge success. Despite the fact that 17 players registered in the event, it was the cream of the crop insofar as Iloilo woodpushers are concerned.
The players displayed excellent refinement and professionalism, except maybe for a few uncalled for scenario and utterances during the last round which is, to my mind, quite understandable…. Champion CM Horizon Villanueva, 2nd place CM Ronald Ganzon, 3rd Nm Cesar Mariano and 4th CM Sonny Pasco.
